The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Wanting to find a new vampire series to read that is adult reading. Have read a lot of series already. Would like to find one that has a little less love story than all the other new reads I'm finding. Any suggestions? Any cult classics I'm not finding?

There isn't really all that many. Sadly most of them revolve around love, which is usually kinky, full of drama and "longing", a random thing that will drag them apart, and then a miracle reunion.

If you are really, really desperate - try VR's Database. There is hundreds of THOUSANDS of vampire/werewolf/supernatural books listed there, and I'm sure you'll find something in the depths of the Database.
Most of those books listed there have links to retailer websites (or they're usually pretty easy to find on Amazon) - and they're usually cheap because they're not "known" authors.

i just finished shakespeare undead...and its hilarious! if your not looking for a "serious" novel youll enjoy this i think. it does have romantic elements, but its also just a fun read.

i also enjoyed "the vampire of new york" (lee hunt) which goes back and forth between the 1860s and modern times...very little romance at all...more of a detective story.

and "in the blood" (stephen gresham) more of an old fashioned spooky story in the mold of salems lot. i enjoyed it.

2 series that I like are the Carpathian novels by Christine Feehan and of course the classic Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton

and you did say series...try the dracula tapes by saberhagen (damn fun take on dracula) and
the necroscope series by lumley (a really creepy series)

i think youd find it of interest.

Cirque Du Freak series. It's a very good read and it's a long series, about 12 books
