Better known as the True Owl or the Typical Owl species. One of the two renowned families of owls, this large family of owl comprises around 189 living species in about 25 genera. These species have a cosmopolitan distribution and are found on every continent except Antarctica.

Strigidae is the "family name" for these breeds of owls and seemed fitting to our Alliance seeing as Lunazure's representation is the owl or screech owl.
