So who else is going to Burning Man this year?

Thank you, Sahahria. It seemed logical to me to look under "events" and seeing nothing I started this string and then recalled... AHA! Checking to see there is indeed quite a list of people going to the Burning Rave, and that the poll that invites people to respond refers to a thread back here (assuming I understood it correctly) which I didn't find. Like this sort of thing NEVER happens on websites, right?

Also the poll was a simple yes/no, will you be at the Burning Rave, which is indeed important info for planning a theme camp, but leaves out other possibilities. For instance, I plan to go to Burning Man, but am connected with other friends and will probably not be a part of any large theme camp, although at some point I will probably visit the Rave Camp and see how it manifests. Might even make myself known to a few of the vampires from this site. Perhaps that sounds arrogant and haughty... I do come off that way sometimes, but the reality is that vamps of my generation are more used to solitude and dispersal for safety's sake. Too many vampires in a close space smells like trouble, and I value -- perhaps too much -- my anonymity, prefering to meet 1 to 1 or in very small groups.

Yes the original poll was made sometime last year. And well, life seems to have happened to many of us- I know I for one had answered heck yeah to the poll- thinking that a move into another country would be easy enough to do in just a month or so... here I am 8 months later and just now about to move. No burning Man for me :(

But a sound off of others looking to "show up" or if they will be camping with the theme camp might be a good idea, since those who are still going have probably bought their tickets and are getting their groove on with final preparations.

woOO hOOo.. my hubby and i had said yes to the poll.. then with life happening, we didn't think we were going to be able to go.. but a-ha! Today in the mail, a check for a whole lotta dough! So.. ka-ching!!! We're making plans!! yay for us!
