After 4 months of planning, contract negotiations.. etc. Club Med has now decided (after first approving me), that the gothic community is not a fit for their resorts. (They dont want their resorts associated with us). :(

If we were Jimmy Buffet people.. that would be different.

Needless to say.. they axed my event for next year.

I may put together something else for 3 or 4 nights next year.. im not sure.. actualy... im just bummed right now.

Im sorry to hear about the closed minded discrimination you've been given. I know after all that planning and hard work its hard to have something like that denied because somebody doesnt like the way you are.

I dunno. I wonder if they were worried it would have an impact on their regular biz?

I know they recently started doing more gay/lesibian friendly activities, so I'd like to think Med is more open minded than not.

No.. it wouldnt have impacted their regular business.. as I was chartering out the entire resort.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but doesn't that constitute discrimination? Not that I would go there at all now, even if a legal action forced them into it (maybe especially because of it- the service would no doubt be asbysmal) but it seems a bit unfair that corporations are allowed to do something like that against a group as a whole-

Just as a final figure.. they flipped there nose at a $175,000.00 Resort Charter. Thats how much they would have made.

Well...pfft.

If they don't need 175,000 they can give it to me.
