So.. you dont have to be 21? The minimum age is 18. But if your under 21, then you need to have someone in your cabin at least 25.

Oftentimes, Im able to pair those under 21 with a roommate over 25.

The cruiselines set the rule quite some time ago (in the 80's) due to destruction of their ships interiors from spring breakers and college students on vacation. Thats the main reason.

Due to redeployments of Carnivals Ships, and as new ones are entering the market.. The Gothic Cruise for 2009 will now sail out of Tampa FL for a 7 night Western Caribbean Cruise on October 11 2009.

It will take me some time to get everything updated.

Thats interesting actually...I was there as well and I didn't see anyone NOT having an amazing time....Even they shy folk were stompin by the second day...lol....

But if that is the case, I really do feel bad...And can't fathum why......We all had so much fun and VNV Nation made the experience unforgetable.....

I guess you can just can't please them all....But we sure do our damnedest to try.....

I cannot agree more girl!!! Everyone had a blast!!! That is why most of us are going again and even the non-Gothic cruisers wanted in on our events and I would not be surprised if some of them signed up for this year!!! lol

I cant go. But if its still available by the time me and my friends are old enough to go, were fucking in and well tear that place UP!

I can't imagine anyone not having an AMAZING time! This cruise was so much fun that ever since we got off the boat, all I've been thinking about is getting back on it! We've been shopping for clothes for the events and masquerade ball for the 2008 cruise and meeting up with people we met on the last cruise! If you like to have fun, dance, party, meet cool people, see great bands while travelling on an amazing boat with all food and drinks included- this is THE event!

Enough said!

All Gothic Cruise events are 18 and over. Further, the bands shows are NOT all-ages.

Given that we have an open bar... and booze flows almost 24 hours a day..yes, as with past gothic cruise, all events are 18 and over.

However, we do have people that bring their kids - since Carnival has seperate childrens activities for free. Camp Carnival is free - which is supervised free day care by their Camp Carnival Staff.

I watched a Documentary called "Goth Cruise" it was or is on Comcast On Demand, a friend of mine told me about it and it was really cool show, it speaks to and about many individuals time on the gothic cruise. I was rather suprised at no mention of VR or VampireFreaks, and also the few amount of people who went on the cruise wasnt as many as i expected.

After watching the show, i would so love to go, the way the people spoke and why they were there and such was just amazing, because i feel alot of the same way that many people on the cruise felt.

I would recommend anyone to watch it, it gives a whole new outlook on what you may expect, because i had a different thought or idea about how the cruise was gonna be.

That cruise is not the same as the one booked through Allgenre. That is why there is no mention of VR or VF.

That is correct. The Goth Cruise movie is about another person running a copycat gothic cruise. This is not THE Gothic Cruise as sponsored by VR and Gothic Beauty.

The Gothic Cruise at www.gothiccruise.com is the original, and drama free, gothic cruise. We plan the events, the bands that appear onboard, and all our private parties onboard. Gothic Beauty Magazine produces the onboard fashion show.

As a note.. Jeannie Finlay had first approached All Genre Travel to film the Gothic Cruise. We said no. We do not allow commercial filming of our clients during these events as they tend to get a bit wild - thus making liability an issue for both our agency and the cruiseline. Of course, passengers may photograph and film within reason. Further, no band allows any taping of their concerts as they are copyrighted.

We find it apalling that somone would capatilize on the success of our Gothic Cruise which has taken 15 years of hard work to fine tune and organize to what it is today. But.. its free america. Not much we can do about it according to our attorney. It is because of our hard work, that we are allowed so many concessions for our Gothic Cruise by the Cruise Lines.

The Original Gothic Cruise by All Genre Travel is simply a unique experince that just can't be duplicated.

Today - The Cruxshadows signed on to perform on the 2009 Gothic Cruise! Yes! They will be sailing on the entire 7 night cruise with us!

As with all our bands.. everyone will get a free exclusive CD!

The Cruxshadows will perform a live 2 hour concert onboard the ship.. sign autographs at the autograph session and bring lots of goodies for your purchasing pleasures!

Looks like I will have to save up my pennies to go to this years cruise. It looks like it will be fun.

When are the final deposite dates and final pay date?

Is there anyway to pay in full now to go on crusie this year or would I have to wait to next year, And if this year is possible what would Two adults both over 25 cost?? The rates kinda confuse me.

I found an active forum for the '09 Gothic Cruise on Vampire Freaks dot com. There's a link for the cult on the main website for the cruise: www.gothiccruise.com. I can't seem to locate any current info for this years cruise on VR, so I have found other forums on various websites. VF is just one of them.
