I just moved here so I was just wondering if there was anyone in the Dark Network that is from Louisiana?

I think there are several people. I come across them all the time. They just don't post to these threads, I guess. Someone else had a Louisiana thread not too long ago, and I don't think anyone responded.
Well I am from New Orleans, and like Images said there are a few of us around although I don't think there are many.
I live in Baton Rouge. There are several people that I know of from Louisiana. They are here, just not posting it apparently.
I live next to Baton Rouge and about 2 hours from New Orleans myself and I just moved here so I know no one and am trying to branch out. I saw there used to be a thread, but I wanted to post my own and see for myself ^_^

I'm in Slidell just until the middle of May (but lived in New Orleans previously)- then I will be in New Orleans. Only a 30ish mile difference though.
*edit* I've been back in New Orleans 'proper' now (no longer a suburb) since May 15 ;)
Maybe we can hang out when I go to New Orleans. I wanna go a few times while I am here ^_^
I'm always open to meeting new people so whenever you wanna head this way let me know
Hi. From New Orleans. Glad to find others in the area. Try the french quarter, near Royal. You are bound to run into some Vampire shops and Bars near there, that will point you in the right direction.
Email anytime, would love to chat.

I work in the French Quarter. There is a rather lame scene as far vamp community stuff now. Not like it used to be. but you could try a bar called the Dungeon at 738 Toulouse. It's a lil touristy these days but still has somewhat of a 'goth" or "vamp" scene going on. Also there's a lil place on Orleans between Royal & Bourbon Streets called boutique Du vampire. The owner is very cool and has some nice things to offer.

Been to both. I've passed my club days. I partied all the time during my single years and really don't miss it these days (been married since '97 and we're more into family stuff). We did go to The Dungeon during the VR meetup, and Sahahria and I browsed in the Boutique Du Vampyre. It's a cute little shop, little being the key word. I still really liked it, and took pics of the sign outside for non-New Orleanians to see ;) For me, those kinds of things aren't on my list of things to do normally. I go to the Quarter during the daytime when it's not a problem to bring my 10 year old wherever I go.
I appreciate New Orleans for the history beyond vampire legend, lore, and modern-day topics. There are a gazillion reason to love Louisiana and tons of places to visit and enjoy. But it's all subjective. If you're not really interested in history... much of it will seem boring. If you are into the party scene- there's a lot of that, and a variety of genres to find it in.
If you are into wines, good food, architecture, music- New Orleans definitely has a lot of appeal.
You're making me want to go there this weekend -.-
But I can't I have things to do.... Maybe in a few weekends I will go and rent a hotel room for a night or two so I can see allot of things ^_^
while im not in louisiana, im right across the border in texas...just west of beaumont. mind if i jump in here? lol

I'm fairly new here, but definitely from Louisiana...north of Lafayette in Natchitoches Parish...pretty lonely this way....not as open-minded as New Orleans. I'm not a native mind you, but New Orleans is one place you either feel completely at home or not...visiting there always makes me happy. :)

Yeah, there are people that visit and hate it here (New Orleans). I come across that a lot as we are a military family (yet not leaving) and all the newbies to the area will love or hate it- not so much of a happy medium. It's been my home though, since 1997- being a constant visitor 5 years prior to that.
im not from there but have done work all over there i know winterraven watch out for her LOL is a very interesting state all sorts of stuff to do and see ive been to a few plantations also which was beautiful and the french quarter is a love or hate thing i didnt have alot of time to stroll it but what i saw i did enjoy and the people are fabulous i do enjoy the cajuns out in the swamps i dont remember what they are called lol but they lively peeps and the live music scene is awesome there in the quarter and street performers and such i watched a puppetter doing a show and laughed so hard thought i was gonna pee myself lol
oh yeah i hear the tours are awesome in the quarter they have voodoo ones, gothic ones, and vampire ones and yes i want to go back to do those :) ok im rambling now catch ya on the otherside laterz
I am also 'imagesinwords'-... figured I would post here since New Orleans is what my profile and Coven is all about ;)
imagesinwords suffers from split personality syndrome apparently @_@
I am finally permanent in Lafayette. I was some where else in the state for a while, but now I am here and staying for sometime. Now that I am settling hopefully I can go to New Orleans in a few weeks.
Bump come on come on lol... Is there anything to do in my area???? lo
Have you been downtown jefferson st? (lafayette) of course. Club Karma, The Office are two places that I find interesting at times as well as entertaining. But there are many side bars, mostly just all to lit up for me, but seems they always all are crowded..........
Maybe so. I saw it was not open this past weekend . I don't know what's going on with that place. I thought maybe it was just early, It was my understanding that the door opened at 10 pm. I was in the area around 9ish ..Who knows....
I am next door in Texas but often go to New Orleans. Mostly hang out in the Irish Bars. It is a great city and Lousiana is a beautiful state. I have often thought of moving there.
