Yes could be, well we have afew that are not too far from us, heather is just below us,xzavier is way to the west of us. There a few dozen just over the Sc and NC border .

Virginia here but I would be willing to come back to TN for a visit.

Well dear what do you have in mind ? we could always meet up some where fun.. Boonedam or something like that. be nice if we could get some others to come along. could do it on a weekend or something.

not a bad idea, boone dam is a great place to have a meet, nice swimming, bbq grills, wildlife, fun.....and its close only a 15 minute drive from home.

Ya thats what I was thinking. We could do a barbaque, those that want to go swimming could swim and I think it would be a blast, we just need to figure out what weekend would be the best to do it.

well we dont haved any 4th of july plans, i think they have a show that is visable from boone dam...fireworks!

i think i can talk the gpaa into allowing a few guests at a camp they have , id have to ask first but its doable.

Plan B what other places are there that are close to the ocean in VA, NC,SC could have a night beach party big bonefire on the sand the smell of salty air... a couple cold ones in a cooler That my image in my miond that could possibly be a lot of fun if we can organize it

oh. So are we looking at more than 800 miles? I am right on the border of Arkansas and Oklahoma.

area we are talking about is the tri city area between tenessee, virginia and north carolina...its about 900 miles from where we are and where i came from in florida and that was a 900 mile trip so i dont think its quite that far.

it might not be a bad idea to be open about where a meet is gonna be....im all for a new place i have not been.

the way the heat waves have been comming im not going anywhere lol

Ya the heat has been aweful, so I think if we are going to do this how about some where where there is water... or a place to cool off at. that lake down in hampton has lot of camping places so hmm could make a weekend of it or an over night ... and that is right along the border is the carolina's

i say we wait untill the weather is cooler for a meet up, september is about perfect.

or have a meet indoors....dont know how or where but air conditioning sounds good to me lol

Ya I thought about that as well I think that would be a great place lots of things to see and do then.

by then the weather is a bit colder but its easier to stay warm then it is to stay cool in my opinion.

well i suppose so, I like fall anyways, can't wait to see the fall here in TN

last year we had a late fall and the leaves were still on the trees well into winter, it gets very cold here...but the air is electric at the hour or two just as the sun sets and that is the best time to have a nice warm apple cider in your hand.

and in case i didnt mention its a great and historic place to spend the day, great food and friendly people ...it makes for a great day out.

the antiques are worth it alone, and the prices are very reasonable on just about everything 2.25 for a giant real homemade rootbeer float....and when i say homemade i mean everything from the rootbeer to the ice cream is all hand done right there in the old fashioned ice cream shop complete with a soda jerk lol
