My search didn't return anything... what was your first job? Maybe contrast it with what you were educated to do, and/or what job you did after it.

My first job was operating the register at my folk's store

I got my driver's license and drove their delivery van (free deliveries).

My first job was a waitress..it was hard work and long hours and I hope I never have to do that again

My first job was pushing carts at the local supermarket.

My first job was at Toys R Us.

Slop Rite, Wasnt in a union position so it was mainly pushing carts but also to do whatever dirty job the store owner and his family wanted me to do. Had me pull weeds once. I was like, REALLY??? Also moved his lawn furniture from his liquor store basement to his home. That was kinda cool since since it killed a good chunk of the day and I sat most of it while another associate, the maintenance manager drove the box truck.

I baby sat the children of some friends of my grandparents.

My first job was working in a day care as a gopher. Now I am in Accounting. Big contrast and I a so happy that I don't have to clean up kid puke anymore. That was gross.

My first job was helping my moms lawyer friend out by typing up stuff he'd dictated onto a tape recorder.

I've done so much since then but I gotta say it helped me to realize I was definitely not interested in working for a lawyer when I grew up (I was 15 at the time).
