We were making ‘firsts’, we even allowed ourselves a smile about that.

But who’d have thought that really these were our ‘lasts’.

And now, well now I find myself making my last entry on this matter. Another ‘last’.

We climbed a ladder leading nowhere. But the climb was fun.

Looking through my tears I know one day I will miss those years.

We did reach our star but things look so different from afar.

Remember that door; I now see it close on the world we knew before.

Did you know that everything we wanted was everything we had?!
