"Fuck you, I like country..." mumbled Lynn with a small laugh. She picked something they could both appreciate, grabbed her lighter and lit a cigarette. She opened the car door and slowly got out. She mumbled something about her legs and walked in front of the car a little bit. Nayme sighed. She got out of the car and yawned. She wanted this night to be over. She got comfortable on Lynn's car and closed her eyes for a few minutes. Lynn joined her and sang the song. Normally Nayme enjoyed her friend's singing but not at that moment.
She tried to block out her voice. She couldn't take it anymore. "Shhh...ut... the fuck...up," Nayme found herself saying to Lynn. She slid her hand over her mouth to hide her smile. Lynn's eye's grew huge and she stopped singing. "You're an asshole!" she said quickly and got back on her feet. Nayme giggled.
"Just look up there, Nayme!" said Lynn pointing to the new moon. She sighed, breathed in with a smile and then closed her eyes. She put her arms out and started spinning. Nayme raised an eyebrow and wondered if Lynn was a little intoxicated. She looked up to the bright stars in the middle of nowhere. The desert sometime after midnight.
"Why do I feel so scared to go back?" asked Lynn.
"Because..." said Nayme leaning back on the hood with Lynn.
"Because, why?" asked Lynn getting teary eyed. Nayme never knew how to feel when Lynn started to lose her cool. She only knew a cold and numb person took over then. Total switch. Now Nayme was confident she was screwed up on something. Nayme felt herself holding back. Trying not to throw any punches at Lynn for her stupidity.
"Because, Lynn. We are in deep shit this time," said Nayme, "You're dancin' around now but he's gonna wake up in a few hours. You know it. He's gonna find out. He's gonna be pissed. He's going to get on that phone and make some calls. They're all gonna be looking for us. You know this. WAKE UP!"
"I know, Im sorry..." whispered Lynn. Tears rolled down her cheeks and her lower lip trembled. Nayme rolled her eyes and breathed in. She let Lynn cry for a while and listened to the music coming from inside the car. "Oh, good jam!" said Nayme suddenly. Lynn giggled for a second and wiped the tears away on her sleeve. "Yeah...it is," whispered Lynn. Her voice was still weak.
Nayme groaned and slid off the hood. She paced back and forth in front of the car. She could hardly see Lynn sitting on the car and starting to calm. She stared off into the distance. Fixed on something. Nayme looked up to the stars still trying to unlock secrets that Aaron had tried to explain to her one evening.
"You won't ever tell him about that time..." asked Lynn. Nayme just gave her a blank stare and inhaled deeply. She exhaled and looked down at her feet. She shook her head no. Lynn got to her feet and came over to Nayme's side. "Wanna head back into the city?" asked Lynn. "No. It's not safe. Not with anybody. No contact on that fucking thing until we know where we're at with the other stuff first. I fucking mean it this time Lynn!" shouted Nayme smacking Lynn's cell phone right out of her hand.
"ALRIGHT!" shouted Lynn. She picked it up shoved it in her hoodie's pocket. They stared at one another for a few seconds clearly exhausted with eachother. Suddenly they heard footsteps somewhere in the distance. The definate sound of shoes on that desert floor. Nayme pulled on Lynn's arm as they ran to get into the car. They locked the doors. Lynn started to panic. "What do we do? What do we do?!" she cried. Nayme felt her heart race even harder. "This cannot even be fucking happening right now..." she said thinking that she saw something in the distance. In the darkness. The sound of their breathing and their heart's racing for a few moments and then sound of a gunshot and breaking glass was all they heard.
Lynn screamed and sobbed. She held on to Nayme's arm like a child.
"We're not gonna die..." said Nayme trying to remain calm. She was shaking and trying to pull Lynn out of the car with her. Lynn pulled away from her. "Dammit, Nayme, get that bitch out of the fucking car!" Brian shouted. "You're real fucking far from the nearest hospital by the way. I'd be smart about this," Josh shouted. Another shot fired in the air and Lynn screamed.
"Nayme..." she sobbed.
"Get out of the car. They're not screwing around," Nayme whispered and cried. Lynn was frozen in terror. "Get out of the god damn car!" Nayme screamed at her.
Result.
They are the same in this game.
Azzy once told me,
"If you intend to unleash Hell on somebody, then you better focus on only that. For as long as you can. Breathe it. Live it if you can. Decend and burn.
You'll be okay. You can do this, Di. Concentrate. Focus..."
Azriael was right. He was right all the damn time.
Looking back now....................we should have never crossed each other. Bad idea on both our parts.

I love this a lot, you have a lot of talents and here is one that shows exactly what I've been saying you have it in you, and you just need to let it out and let it flow. This is great so far. I can't wait to read more of this :)
