From worldvision.org I decided to sponsor a child from India. Her name is Manisha and she was born Feb. 12th 2010. What made me think was the woman at the store had a lot from Africa and but I asked for India. She even said that India was wealthy so why would I help a child from there? I said India as a whole might be wealthy but they don't take care of their own people. They bath in their own feces in the poorer towns and don't have clean water. Much like America we have a lot of children right here in America and they don't have sponsorships here or I would be doing that instead. She really had no clue. Which was sad. She was fine with showing the children only from Africa and literally it is not the only place that has children in need. There are many kids all over the world that are starving and not being taken care of. Not that I will be making a huge difference but at least I will get to affect a child's life.
