Honestly there are STILL some members who will get livid irate over ratings. It's amazing what an invisible, meaningless to real life number will do to someones mentality.

Ya know, I honestly can't remember how long it took me to reach sire... I recall not being in a huge rush for a while and then I felt the need to rush... still can't remember how long that took... WAY too long ago. LOL!

I only remember how long it took as I put on another profile. I bought that profile off the site, money went to charity. VW45 I think.

The bidding was on the main forum. A guy outbid me every time so I stop. Then he never came up with the money. They asked if I buy at my last bid. Nope. I bought it at his bid.

Yes, he was a ass.

I don't remember a profile auction. I do remember site wide contests and winning one... it was the find the hidden bats contest... If I remember correctly there were bats on random pages or maybe there were clues on the pages where you found the bats.... its been YEARS ago so I can't remember for sure... just remember winning, a t-shirt, mug, pens, pins, and stickers. Those contests were fun.

I use to hold the Halloween contest. It was Halloween theme story, poetry, art.
It was the one and only Profile auction Cancer allowed. A lifetime Sire member gave up his profile for it.

It took me almost three years to get to Sire. I don't do a lot of the stuff that it takes to level up. Not really my thing. But I'm on here most nights for an hour or two posting in the forums and in my Coven.

I love contests. They are so fun and make the site more interesting. They encourage activity. I wish they were still a thing. I can't remember how long it took me to level this profile to Sire. I want to say it was about a year and the only reason I worked so hard at it was because I wanted a Coven.

We might have to do a contest, maybe a year membership given as prize. But what kind?
