I walk alone in the burning sand.

The smell of sea salt floating in the air.

Footsteps beside me and footsteps behind me.

The waves of water rushing to my bear feet.



The guls sounding off in obnoxious noise.

The hermit crabs changing their shells.

Sea shells washed up on the shore.

Castles of great triumph washed down in seconds.



Waves crashing down to the earth of sand.

By the time I've crossed the beach the sun is setting as I'm watching the waves crash down.

The beach empty with some piles of trash.



Not to close to me to ruin my view of this wonder.

The time I spent here wishing you were here.

You'd love every minute of it.
