Silver strands flung toward the moon
Wrapped up and tangled, entwined
When yesterday came on too soon
Leaving today's shattered mind
And yet the glowing web persists
On occasion, I feel a tug
Tho' the stitching on my heart resists
You're still my favorite drug

Burning inside, like the raging of a fire,
Yet, for the umpteenth time, burnt to cinder,
Gone is the rhythm of the rhyme, in a whisk of tinder;
Once raging like a maelstrom, though dying at last,
A twist of Fate does the night present in moon's past,
The hearkening, the calling, a darkened star falling,
Like the ebb of the tides, breaking only in a stalling.
{{Just figured I would add in my own little touch of irony, on this one.}}
