The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

There's an empty canvas where you once stood. I've chosen not to paint it. All this time, the blank expanse has seemed too daunting. What colors, what subject, what scene - what image could possibly fill the void?

There's a beauty in nothingness. And a familiarity. In nothing, I can see the ghost of you. The faintest tracing of your darkest lines and brightest reflections. Some days, I see the ghost and can't help but smile, remembering what it was to know you. But when the moment fades, the pain washes back.

If I paint something there, will I forget you? The ghost will be exorcised. I may not feel the pain as sharply, but I'll not feel the spark of joy either.

I've found that just filling the canvas with blobs of paint without any structure can get other people to describe my feelings better than I ever could.
