I hate being a parinoid person.
Every time someone I know is upset, I assume that I'm the one that made them upset.
I know that assuming is SO stupid. In fact, I hate assuming, I hate when people assume. I really try not to...
don't you just hate plane delays?
We left thinking oh maybe it will get pushed back to 4:30.
4 hour delay.
it's 6:40 and we are suppose to leave at 8:07 now. Won't be getting to Newark till 11:04-ish. Then an hour drive to Warwick. Then sleep and drive the next day to Syracuse. And just for the day. Then back to Warwick for the night. Then get to see my great-grandma at the home. But then leave sunday night around 3:30 and get back here at 6-ish. Get back to the house by 7(give or take).
And inbetween that all, I'm studying.
oh and did I mention I forgot my regular camera? but I remembered my video camera which takes pictures. My laptop and phone also take pictures so we will see how many I get while there. It's suppose to rain everyday but the day we leave.
I hope it's an ok weekend....
I feel the need to say something about the Twilight books after going into the Main Forum.
Most of you that judge it haven't even looked at who the author is.
When you read a book, or are going to judge a book, I find it a good idea to look into why the person wrote the book and where they got the idea from.
Stephanie Meyer for one was a very sheltered child. Which made her not interesed in all the things that her parents projected on her. So she not once read, saw, or heard any vampire stories. It was just... not allowed.
She actually started the first book at chapter 13. The Meadow scene. Which is where Bella and Edward are in the meadow and they are confessing that they are in love with each other and they are also afriad of each other.
She wrote it purly so the dream would stop coming. She wrote it for fun, for her. She let her sister read it. Her sister was the one who got her to send it to a publisher. She sent it in just to see what would happen, for fun.
She left it more open for your imagination, so you can relate to one of the characters. Also if you read into it more. There are hidden messages. The one I've notice for example, It's better to wait till after marrage to have sex.
Does that maybe change some peoples point of view of the book?
COMMENTS
I like your points on it and she also happens to be mormon which is pretty odd but it makes sence(sp) since non of the books are very sexual at all. Which is a good change to your normal vampire books out there now.
Thank you for writing this Kikin...........
I am glad you pointed this out. Most people wouldnt have thought to, even I didn't. I own the books and have read them and have gotten all the points of the book - and I am a 34 year old mother. It is also good to read things even if you are NOT a fan of the books, just to know the kinds of things your children are reading. I liked the books, I liked the movie. I am, however, a little burnt out on it for the simple fact that people roleplay most books and movies these days. They are only fans because it is popular, and that is my main grief. Same thing happened with Underworld, Van Helsing, Bram Stoker's and a few other books turned to movies.
I think people should read the book and read the About The Author on the back page of the book before they decide whether a book or series is bad.
I have a sister in law - well ex sister in law who won't let her kids read or watch the Harry Potter movies because she is such a holy roller she thinks they are satanic! Can you believe it?
this was great hun. one of the things i got out of it is that TRUE love can and usually happens when you least expect it. but that those who love you the most will do whatever they feel they need to do to protect them as well. but will also find a wake to make a relationship work. there's more but that's all i can think of off the top of my head.
i'm glad you put this up.... maybe it will clear some stuff for some people..... and if you wanna hear something weird i had some friends growning up whos parents wouldnt let them watch the Smurfs.... it was to suppose to symblize (sp?)...... dead babies o.0
