We've been so impressed by our newest little dog's ability to withstand cold temperatures. He just doesn't care. He will run in the yard until he is a walking snowball with hundreds of tiny snowballs attached to him and ice stuck in his paws.
Despite his toughness in the winter we're trying to find other means of entertaining him and there are a few local stores that welcome dogs so it's been fun bringing him there. Working with a non-reactive dog is such a relief. Going places with a dog who has no fear but instead an enthusiastic sense of curiosity is something so unfamiliar I end up feeling surprised each time.
We walked past a total stranger and the dog didn't care. We came out of an aisle to find a lady standing there and he just went up to her and said hello. He sat and gave his paw to a clerk in exchange for a treat. He just does his own thing and it's so much fun being around for it.
