I just watched two brown nondescript birds go through a mating ritual on my back fence. The male would puff himself up and stretch up while hopping towards the little female, who acted uninterested and hopped a little away....,that is until the male hopped off the fence to the ground. Then she watched him closely and eventually hopped down near him and acted very interested in something in the grass.



I had to laugh at the resemblance to humans.
