Helene Grimal, a biologist, experimented with both healthy and cancer cells to see how they would respond to the voice and to various instruments. Maman reports that among the dramatic effects of sound they captured in their photographs was the progressive destabilization of the structure of cancer cells. When Maman played sounds that progressed up the musical scale, the cancer cells eventually exploded.

Ironic that a lot of singers die to cancer. Maybe they just weren't singing alto!!

Why does replaying this experiment in my mind summon up images of Loony Toons cartoons, specifically Wile E Coyote and Road Runner scenes?

the tigers roar..



A tiger's intimidating roar has the power to paralyze animals.. Even the experienced human trainers are stunned by it. It is suspected that this is caused by the low frequencies and loudness of the sound.
