Choosing today to be grateful, after a year of ups and downs. Things are by no means simple or easy, but in the last 12 months, where so much has happened, I have learned, too. I've learned to accept help. I've let myself accept that I am allowed to say "yes", and that sometimes I need to. That accepting help and love is a good thing.
I am also grateful that I have such a fantastic and large group of friends, that my partner and I are just as nuts about each other as we have been for the last 10 years.
I have a roof over my head, cats in the house, I am overcoming more fears, and I am nourshing my heart.
Yesterday was a bad day, where I couldn't get out of bed, where I was so deep into the abyss, but today... today is good. I am lucky.
