You just gotta ignite the light, and let it shine. Just own the night, like the 4th of July

Today is my 18th birthday. Yay.

I was supposed to go to New York with my best friend's family (to do something they refused to tell me about) but apparently it's too hot to do that, sooo I have no clue what I'm doing today.

It is REALLY hot.

At 4am I am going to the airport. I'm flying across the country to move in with my boyfriend.

I have so much to do.

When I left Job Corps, I packed every possession I had brought there, and when my father kicked me out I packed the remainder of my things.

Everything I own is in 4 suitcases, a bookbag, and about 5 other little bags.

My problem is that I didn't organize my things as I packed. I can only have 2 suitcases to go under, plus a carry-on which I believe will be my bookbag.

This means I have to repack.

I have over 2 suitcases that I have to leave.... I'll be mailing some things to his house, and some things that I don't need (but can't fully part with) to my mother's house.

But I don't have boxes to pack that stuff in. Plus, if I don't pack that stuff and bring it to the post office in 2 hours, it won't get mailed. Hopefully, my best will mail it out, if I get around to packing it.

Sheesh.

What to do, what to do....

I should have handled this days ago, but I can't stop procrastinating!!!

See even now, I'm writing about it instead of doing it....

=/

And problem #2 (or is it 3):

All my stuff that I need to organize is downstairs, where there is no air conditioning....

Well, Beautiful, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! What to do, just have a reconciliation about what will come into your life, now that you are 18. Big age for some. AHHHH, now you can vote... and make wise decisions about your future. Always remember, you are an Individual with your own individuality, and do not let others dictate as how you are suppose to run your life. Life is only a short moment and is time to enjoy it to the max.

Rant: Profiles

Why? Oh, why?

Why do so many profiles start with "I've always been attracted to the darker side of things."

Why do so many playlists have (only) Rob Zombie's Living Dead Girl and Dragula?

Why do so many profiles have fancy text that can't be read against an elaborate background?

Why do so many people give a list of their most important people online then claim that they will kill me if I ever harm them? As if I could actually harm a person over the web? As if they could ever find me to kill me?

Why do so many profiles have picture after picture after picture of the same handful of gothic/emo looking pictures? (You know the ones I'm talking about.)

WHY ARE ALL OF THESE "OPPRESSED SOULS" SO UNCREATIVE?

WHEN WILL THEY GET SOME ORIGINALITY?

Or....

Am I asking for to much??

OK, I don't ONLY have Rob Zombie's Living Dead Girl and Dragula on my playlist. (I think. I don't visit my own profile).

Lmao! Captain, don't feel bad, you're not the only one. ;) Besides, the rest of your profile is very nice. =)

Rob Zombie's Living Dead Girl and Dragula are pretty darn good songs... that's why I like them. I guess other people like the dark image these videos/songs project so they seem cooler than they are not. ;)

For all the rest of the questions... all I can say is that it is part of the human condition to be more than they really are.

Still those are excellent questions, glad you're one of the few who ask them.

You can never ask too much. ;)

Interesting questions. For me, a good profile must have a meaning and must grab the reader attention. About the background, I am with you, small red letter with a dark back, MMM, not easy to read, if I do, I will get blind before 30. LOL

Macaroni Pie (What it is + recipe)

01:32 Jul 18 2011
Times Read: 624

So my best friend's family is Trinidadian, and for those who don't know Trinidad & Tobago is a West Indian island in the Caribbean. My favorite food of all time (thanks to them) is macaroni pie.

Macaroni Pie is a bit like baked macaroni and cheese, but it is soooo much better. It's not really pie at all, but don't ask me why they call it that.

Every time I came over I asked mommy to make it for me, and now that I am temporarily living here, she finally taught me how to make it.

***disclaimer: I am a terrible cook. This is what was told to me and today was the first time I made it myself. It came out good, but if your's doesn't, don't blame me.***

Ingredients:

-1 box of macaroni

-1 can of evaporated milk

-3 eggs (or only 2)

-roughly 16 oz of block cheese (to be graded, if you prefer already shredded cheese, then by all means go ahead, but I don't know how the measurements would convert.)

-butter (Not sure exactly how much, we use 2 big spoonfuls [cooking spoon] from a tub of butter.)

Steps:

1.) Boil the macaroni until tender.

2.) Shred 16oz of block cheese.

3.) Drain and replace macaroni back into pot.

4.) While the macaroni is still hot, add most of the shredded cheese and stir. (Leave some back to sprinkle on top.)

5.) Add 3 eggs, 1 can of evaporated milk, and 2 large spoonfuls of butter.

6.) Stir until well combined.

7.) Pour mixture into baking pan.

8.) Sprinkle a layer of cheese on top with remaining cheese.

9.) Bake at 410 degrees until the top is golden brown. (Probably 20-30 minutes)

I really hope I didn't massacre this recipe, but if anyone makes it can you please tell me how it came out!

So I haven't been on the Rave since starting Job Corps, but I had limited internet in there. I know it's just an excuse, but long story short, I've completed Job Corps (and a semester of college with it).

And I'm moving.

To mid-west bumbafuck.

I'll explain later (maybe) but for now.... BOY DOES IT FEEL GOOD TO BE BACK!!!! ;)
