I tried to put this in the Forum to reach a wide audience, and inform everyone, however the moderators decided that this belongs in my journal....where only a few people see it. Yea, important info regarding community safety shouldn't be posted in the forum.....but I digress.



It seems that former "cult cop" turned "Occult investigator", Don Rimer (formerly of the Va Beach PD) had made claims to some people that he is a member of Septem Civis (Local vampire council in Eastern Va). He is NOT, nor has he ever been a member of Septem Civis. We have not corresponded with him in any way, shape or form. No, we did not give him permission to represent himself as one of our members.



It's not unknown for Don to pull this tactic, so just be aware. He is NOT a police officer, and does not have power to arrest or detain. He may try to threaten or detain you, legally he does not have the ability to do anything. You DO NOT have to speak with him, the police, or anyone, if you do not wish to do so (5th amendment, right to remain silent). Don't try to get into a confrontation with Don, no cussing him out or making a scene. He lives on how much drama, Publicity, and controversy he can create. Let's not give him anything.



While your at it, clean up your own act. We don't need to give the police any more excuses to come knocking on our doors. Septem Civis does not condone illegal activity!
