Going on vacation.

This will be the first Christmas that the kids have had with my mother since well... ever. Its just something that has never been able to happen until now. So.. With Wolfbite 16 and Iae 13.. its been a long time coming.



Was going to head out this morning but there was an issue with the breaks on the van.. so had to postpone a day. Had an appointment on Friday that ended up getting pushed off to Sunday because the place was so busy they would not be able to get to it until then. It was a simple appointment to get the tires rotated and balanced and stuff inspected before driving off over the mountains. Yeah.. turns out I had little to no break pads left and one really good hit on those breaks would have been.. yeah. Nice stuff to know.. And hence the reason we keep these appointments.



I try to keep the van well maintained, and that showed in the inspection.



So $600 later we have new breaks, callipers and rotors and are only 24 hours behind on our travel plans. :)
