8 am meetings... bullying

17:35 Mar 01 2012
Times Read: 522

Seems I have a mandatory meeting at 8 am at the High school for my son. Seems he asked a friend at lunch to watch his lunch bag while he went to the bathroom or something, and someone came up and took said lunch bag.

Seems some students thought it would be "hilariously funny" to take his lunch and hide it from him to see if they could "get him worked up."

Seems that Iae had enough of said incidents happening and went looking for his lunch, to the merriment of others, and found it.

Now here is where it apparently gets interesting.

Seems the young man who had his lunch bag didn't know it was his and when he tried to take it back, got threatened by this young man.

Seems Iae had enough and said some things while trying to take his lunch back and the other student decided he didn't like Iae's tone. Shouting ensued along with merriment of others and laughter and encouragements of "fight".

Seems some students decided that their desired outcome was going to happen so decided to stand on chairs and tables and chant "fight" to encourage the situation. Iae tired of being bullied and picked on decided, sure why not.

So tomorrow we have a meeting at 8 am to discuss what will happen, suspension or what not, because Iae shoved the kid to try and get his lunch bag back after the kid got up into his face and put his chest to Iae's.

Breathe.... joy

I feel your pain. My son has been lucky enough to not get caught fighting with bullies. He hits them while no one is looking.

I have had my fair share of dealings with the school being ridiculous about things though.

Just stand by your little darling and don't punch the administrators.

Hoping the best. and hoping they see he was the one being bullied, and he had enough, school is at fault for not playing a more active roll in keeping this FROM happening.

GOOD LUCK!

:D
