Well, no chicken-fried Wendy today. Instead, I helped a random dog who was literally laying in the road by the courthouse when I returned from lunch. It had been raining, so the poor boy was all muddy and wet. He was clearly hungry and had a broken left leg, bones exposed. The cops across the street who were outside smoking told me that he had been around for about three days. THREE DAYS! Really? Three days and not one person helped the poor thing. Wow. So I loaded his muddy self into my car, called the judges office and said that I was taking the random dog laying in the road outside the courthouse for the past three days to the vet and then went to the nearest vet. He is going to have to have surgery, the break is so bad. We found someone that is willing to foster him. Trust me, I am tempted, but I don't know how well he and Kopi would get along. The foster mom told me she would call me tomorrow and we could discuss plans. I may try him with Kopi and see how it goes. Client was not that thrilled, but the judge wasn't going to get to our case today anyway. Plus, I was covered in doggy mud.

Now that is the question of the day.

I am in tiny, remote town Alabama to try one of my last cases. I just want it over with. Opposing counsel golfs with the judge regularly. Do you think I am http get home cooked? No shit. The judge came out and told all the people in the courtroom that they did not want a trial in front of him and that they’d better settle their case. Of course mine is a custody case. He has custody and she wants it. No way to settle that mess. Guess chicken fried Wendy is on the Fayette lunch menu.
