I find myself lost

in a room with no color

I look around

and all I see

is a line of strangers

staring back at me

Walking on through

trying to find my way out

I notice all these people

are lost beyond doubt



Just like me.



I stumble around

not looking back

today is the day

I AM NEVER looking back

This is a poem I wrote a few weeks ago when I tried to hold a conversation with a few adults, who wouldn't listen to me because they thought I had nothing interesting to say, and when I asked them why they said and I quote "BECAUSE YOU ARE ONLY A CHILD AND COULDN'T POSSIBLY HOLD AN INTELLECTUAL, AND INTERESTING CONVERSATION."

Boy was I pissed, and I think what I told them made them think that you can't judge a person's Intelect by their age.

I don't want to be JUST a person who lives everyday

Who walks through the grounds where NOONE knows my name

I want my opinion to be voiced so here's what I have to say



The world can be cruel but you HAVE to be strong

Even when it brings you to your knees you have to live on



You can't change who you are, and make things go wrong

You can't choose who your family is or the size of your shoes

But you can choose who your friends are and how you lead your life

You can't fight for everyone else but you can fight for YOU

You can't live and just leave but you can live AND believe



Believe there is someone out there or there is something for you,

You do have a purpose, it's just below the surface

When you get to that point in life, you WILL know what to do
