I lay in bed at night,

wishing the pain would go away.

My heart aches for her to hold me

And tell me she will always stay

But, Deep in my soul,

I know this is only a dream.

She will never be mine,

I think to myself as I sigh.

I fall asleep one last time,

Knowing I will not awake.
