Things always change

as souls dance across time

nothing ever stays the same.

A simple tear drops from this face

and endless lives have changed

from birth to death

souls are stained,

tears will fall and looks exchanged,

as no one escapes the pain.

Hopes drop and hearts sink,

pools of tears with a cold embrace.

Seasons will change,

with no hope in sight

on my knees I cry.

Tears are falling on this moonless night

with my heart restrained,

on my knees i pray.

As the tears slow,

the wind comes,

on this moonless night I stay.

Thoughts flowing like rivers around me

showing me everything I once dreamed,

I see something I remembered.

In a voice so soft and gentle,

in nothing above a whisper

All I hear is

I am the last tear on your face,

the last of the cold embrace,

so rise of your knees and pray,

forever in you, I will stay.

I am the last tear

and the only tear that's here.

Your hope will return someday

when it does, it will stay.

I am the last tear in your heart,

in here, we will never part.

I am the last tear on your face

Seeing you with that cold embrace,

as the earth turns

my heart burns

just ending this fate

knowing my life has been second rate.

I remove my mask

failing at my task

I am the last tear on your face

with cold eyes to meet your embrace.
