I still cry myself to sleep at night,

Though it's not every night;

I look to where we used to sleep in an embrace,

And I can't help but cry for what could have been;

I still cry from the mere memories as I stare off

Into the dark,

Thinking of what was and why it is no longer;

Tears still streaming from my eyes at night.

I watch the wall and see the shadows of friends,

They come and stay,

But their presence is just a mere shadow,

Flickering over the sun on a cloudy day;

And yet I still cry some nights...
