Something different in the air this year.

Autumn usually is a negative time for me. This year feels a bit different.

This week I start my fellowship.

My film, I believe, will have some new levels of success.

Something actually went my way at work, and my job has been made permanent.

I already have 3 photography gigs booked, and probably a fourth with the annual disco in November.

Positive vibes.

Nominations to be announced September 11.

There are a couple of award nominations I want for the sake of our team. Our young actors did such a great job - I want them to be recognized. And our composer - a fantastic score that really drives the emotions of our movie.

They deserve some recognition.

Achieved a new level of organization in the garage.

Purging so much old stuff that has just been trailing behind me for over a decade.

It's liberating.

I have been doing that a little at a time... I am an overly sentimental individual... NOT to be confused with a hoarder... but I struggle to let things of sentiment go... I am getting better about it the older I get though. I have more to rid of. Takes time to go through everything and that is something I rarely have much of.

A lot of mine is like business stuff I was required to keep for a certain amount of time. Now it's going in the fire. :)

Finished building the bin storage in the garage. Looks great. Experimented with using 2x1's instead of 2x4's for the framing to make it lighter, and save space and money. Worked out well except the uprights being 84in tall tend to shift and bow a little in the front due to a lack of horizontal supports. Going to work in some wire and turnbuckles to strengthen the horizonal support without interfering with the bins being able to be slid in and out.

Set up storage for shovels and other garden tools in a section of the structure, and hung shelves on the end side to create a charging station for tool batteries.

Next step will be clearing out the bottom of the workbench and putting in better shelving underneath it.

Our movie premiered on Saturday, and I think it played to the audience very well. Seemed to get a pretty rousing level of applause at the end.

There were a few movies in this year's contest that made a political statement. I might be biased, but I feel like our movie was created both visually and message wise the best of any of them.

Now I guess we'll see what the judges say.

Made a movie.

Organized the garage.

Ripped out the useless shelving the last owners built in the garage.

built a new vertical bin storage unit.

Today, back to routine.

Bleh.

There's no passion in routines.
