I get the idea of early voting - totally get it. Some places in America, it's a literal necessity to avoid a huge jam of voters on election day since so many states close and restrict polling places in order to suppress voters.
But where I vote, I have never waited to vote. Not even a minute. Sure, with covid that might change, but people were lined up, no lie, about a quarter mile long of a line to early vote today in the same district as my polling location.
Why would I feel the need to stand in that line on my day off when I can leave work on Tuesday Nov 3 to go vote and probably not wait?
