A thank you to those who reached out and wished me a happy birthday. I always appriciate the messages. As for the weekend... Saturday was rough, as was expected. Despite the fact that she passed away in February, the reminder that she's gone is always there. However, I think this was good as a kind of closure. Granted, I don't think things will be truly okay until the family can spread the ashes. It was planned to do it in Texas, on the land she never got to live on, but with everything going on, that's just not possible right now. They don't want to scatter the ashes there if they have to wind up selling the land in the end. So...we'll see how things go. I'm not all that hopeful that it's going to end anytime soon, Logan's family is so cut throat with one another. I saw it a little bit at the service... Always jostling for the better position, like it matters anymore. But, the service was lovely, perfect for the kind of person she was. My parents came all the way out, and I know that was appriciated. I had hoped to introduce them to Tony and the girls, but with everything being what it is, and with the state that everyone was in, it wasn't really appropriate. But I know Logan appriciate them being there, so that's enough. Maybe we can manage a family dinner at some point in the future.

My birthday was nice. Logan took us up to Solvang for the day, we walked around a bit, had a really good lunch, and he got me three bags of the hard candies I love. When we move, I know I'm gonna have to make bulk orders on their website. But, man, it's the best Sour candy I've ever had. And we came back down, relaxed for a while and he took me out for a lovely dinner. It was nice, nothing too extravagant, which I appriciate. Just nice time spent together, having fun. It was a good day.
