So me and my best friend sat down and watched Ghost in the Shell 2 last night. We thought we'd watch the sequel due to the...well, sheer awesomeness of the first. ...Boy, what a clunker.



I suggest you save your money on this piece of pretentious tripe. The plot never develops(I swear Batou(the protagonist) never even solves the case, so confused)due to constant quotes and meddling upon the philosophy of humans vs machines vs cyborgs. Now, don't take me as a person who just enjoys mindless action flicks(which I do...with the proper substances, of course. *Grin*), I do enjoy a thought provoking movie. I also enjoy a movie that makes sense. ...Come to think of it, I enjoy a movie in which a cyborg has to take her clothes off in order to activate a cloaking device(I miss you Major! *sob!*). So, if my opinion is actually valued by anybody who reads this...Do not:

1) Rent Ghost in the Shell 2

2) Buy Ghost in the Shell 2

3) CONSIDER renting/buying Ghost in the Shell 2



and DO:

1) Buy Ghost in the Shell 1





Actually, that's a bit unfair...Rent or buy Ghost in the Shell 2 if you have insomnia and are opposed to sleeping pills.

Okay, first journal entry...Alright, first rant anyways. So I have this...well, she's not a roommate..More of a squatter/leech/huge pain in my ass who doesn't work, doesn't chip any money into the house collective, but feels she is 'chipping in' by sleeping with nearly everybody in the household whether they want to or not. Luckily, however, I'm not one of them. Bwahaha.



But, back to the subject line. This girl is pregnant(at least, that's what she claims, despite the fact she's displaying no symptoms). And she's 17. And she's about as smart as the desk that this computer is sitting on. Claims she can't work because of this ailment....Alright, IF you are indeed pregnant, then you really aren't that far along. Frankly, I think you still have at least 5 or 6 months before you can use the 'I'm pregnant' card as an evasion for getting employment. Being pregnant does not make you useless.



Now..Why is it that I keep on seeing this crap? Young dumb-ass girls getting knocked up by dumb-ass guys. Seems like a match made in heaven, right? Wrong. When stupid people procreate, we seem to get an even stupider child or children. Also, more unruly children because these are the people who seem to think that 'discipline' is a four letter word. Nothing pisses me off more than going out in public places and hearing the whining and bitching of some child because his mother won't buy him a toy. Yes, I admit I've done this as a child, but, after I was threatened with discipline(nothing extreme, usually just a rap across my butt)I shut up. NOW?! "Use your indoor voice or you'll get a time out."



A time out?! I take those now as an adult because I just don't want to interact with anybody! Its private time! Its not a punishment!



Anyways..On a brighter note, the squatter is getting kicked out in a week because the general attitude towards her in this house is damn near a murder. So...YAY!



....But that's my ranting and cussing for the day. Go me.
