Today is my older daughter Amanda's 31st birthday. I still cant believe shes that old now. Ok, that means im older than dirt lmao... I remember the day she was born, It was a cold day just like today, was rainy and i remember that it was Hamilton High's homecoming. The parade marched outside my hospital window, I remember holding her and telling her that i would never let anything hurt her and I would try to be the best mommy I could be. I remember her dad, Rick holding her for the first time and it was love at first sight. He had told the doctor and nurses not to tell my mom a thing. lol... He came out and told her that She was beautiful and had big feet lol



He would be so proud of his little girl. Im sure he's watched over her since he passed. She has grown into a wonderful woman who i couldnt be more prouder of..but sometimes, I wish she and her sister were little again. I miss that. but am glad their lives turned out so well. it could have turned out a lot worse, and am grateful they are two strong and very opinionated ladies lol..

I watched the streaming video of the concert and was totally blown a way. There were a few artists I had never heard of and found them awesome. Bono and The Edge totally rocked out. And Stevie Wonder brought back memories of the seventies when everything you heard on the radio was Stevie, which in turn reminded my mother of when little Stevie Wonder got his start.



I was really blown away by Bill Clinton's work of trying to save the world, one life at a time. If this didnt get you to get up out of your seat to go and volunteer, then you toally missed the message.



when I was fifteen or so, I wanted to join the peace corp when I turned 18, but that's not how my life turned out. Although I was a red cross volunteer at our local hospital since i was 15. By the time I finished when I was 18 I had logged over 4000 hours of my time and recieved my four year pin along with several other girls who had done the same. Volunteering your time, and looking how the other half that needs it is such a good character builder. You find out what your made of.



If you even give one day of Volunteering, not only are you helping others, your changing someone's life

There is nothing else I could ever add to all the accolades the man has gotten since his passing. All I can say is "Thanks" Never will be another man quite like him...When god made the apple, he had Steve Jobs in mind. :)

I knew there was a reason why I never missed T.V. Too many damn commercials, to buy this or that or buy things that help you lose weight but dont, Cable was supposed to be commercial free back in the days. And for a time it was. And watching MTV was a must! Then you go on the net and its just as bad. Spam mail asking you to try this or that or horny people asking you to check out their site of sexy singles, cheating wives, cheating husbands. Its no wonder no one sleeps in their own beds anymore. We are bombarded daily with this kind of stuff. I do however, love certain shows and usually wont miss them and put up with the commercials. But I have since formed an attachment to dvds of my favorite shows, no commercials! lol



NCIS is one of those, I can't help it! I am highly involved with it and cant wait for the next episode. I have season one and season two...Burn Notice is also on dvd...thats next. Season three of NCIS will be bought. But I transgress, the rant was supposed to be over commercialization. I am sick of it lol....just an observation....:)
