the other day at work at lunch time we started to get food ready for the patients one of the patients got a tray and started to gather two of his copatients around him when someone witnessed what he was doing we were all amazed he had gather his friends around him and was giving portions to them when told that he did not have the right tray and he did not have to share he exclaimed leave us alone we have been in a foxhole for three damn weeks and we are hungry the other man who is hispanic said yes and they were putting bullets over my head
we told them that we had enough food for all of the soldiers and he did not have to share with some convencing he accepted that he could have a whole tray to himself
wow even in his condition with alzheimers he still thought of his fellow man yes the military teaches them to be good soldiers but there is so much more a brotherhood and sisterhood that even when ur mind is almost gone it is others that u think about these fellows teach me something every day and it is amazing to me i guess that is why i love my job and to me these fellows are heros
