Summer

The summer rain falls
softly and never complains-
so it feeds the Earth.

Autumn

The withered leaf falls
and floats on the chilly breeze;
The Autumn breeze dies.

Winter

Storm clouds black and heavy,
rain mixed with snow on the ground-
Winter's secret hides.

Spring

in the morning sun
a sapling buds new life through;
Springs greatest surprize.

Through the darkened outer image
a glorious light shines from within.
It shines through every crack and crevasse
and those with eyes can see it begin

to grow inside you every day;
getting brighter all the while.
I see it shining through the darkness.
I see it shining when you smile.

All the clouds that gather round
to cover every speck of light
are naught but shadows on the ground.
Your smile makes everything alright.

The light is hope, there's always hope,
and with hope there is always peace.
The light obliterates the darkness
and will finally leave your soul at ease.
