About that.
Coven masters or Master Vampires on this site can trade any member to any society they choose, and they don't have to ask you or mention it to you at all. The only members who have freedom to be anywhere- or nowhere for that matter are over the level of 100.
As for the email, as part of updates done to the site they switched to SSL encryption, meaning that passwords are more secure than on any previous version of the website. That's what the email thing was all about.
