Knowledge brings responsibility with it. You can stay silent and be happy with that, or speak up and do something positive. I only recommend speaking out about what you know if it is going to be a force of good- for the good of all.
Don’t confess something to someone else and hurt them in the process, just to offload yourself and without further thought being given to the consequences of this action on them and those around them.
You could be about to burden them with information that could cause them a lifetime of suffering, while staying silent may not cost you much and save them from this. Or telling them could enable them to make a great decision in life and save them from further suffering....
