She found God in a needle that night. As it pierced her vein, blue beneath her skin, it pierced her troubles as well. As she pulled it out, it took her pain with it. The feeling of sadness was replaced instead by a surging warmth throughout her body. She let her eyelids flutter as she laid back. But the warmth was soon lost to a bitter cold. As she shivered, her body convulsing, she tried to wipe the cold sweat from her forehead. Her throat started to close, and gasping for breath, she called for help. But it was too late. She'd found God in a needle that night, and will never be lost from him again.
