A short story....



A man and a woman were abducted by an aggressive alien race and took back to their planet, chained, beaten, experimented on, starved, raped, tortured, and forced to learn and convert to the alien's religion or be killed slowly.



After converting to the alien's religion, they were forced to mate and produce offspring for additional slave labor. They were also instructed to teach their offspring the ways of the alien society as well as their alien religion. More people were captured and went through the same ordeal.



Their offspring matured knowing and believing ONLY what they were taught and passed those teachings on to their offspring generation after generation.



However, it was not known to the alien race that the ancestors of their slaves (the very first to be abducted) secretly recorded what had happened to them and what their original life and beliefs were. These writings were discovered by the 10th Generation of abducted slaves who were now considered free since although they did not look like the aliens, they did behave and believe as the aliens did and thought to know nothing about their past. Therefore, they were considered to be fully indoctrinated into the alien society with only discrimination here and there by those aliens that also knew the true history of the 10th Generation.



But when groups of the 10 Generation began to practice their ancestors' belies and share the truth about what had happened to their species, not only did this anger the aliens, but many of the 10th Generation felt as though it was all a lie and began to Fear, become Angry at and Hate those who were bringing such truth to light.



This caused much Suffering among both the 10th Generation as well as the aliens.



Those of the 10 Generation who chose to believe the writings of their ancestors and practice their beliefs became known as.....Pagans!
