I Shall search the earth for all eternity, looking for my one and only; in yet I will never find him.
I shall live this life alone, without anyone to keep the darkness from eating me alive.
I yurn for the dark, However, So it shouldn't be that bad...
Because dying is hard, But living is harder!
Now I am running; in vast, open places,
In search of something I know not of.
The wind whistles past me,
blowing ash into my face.
It goes into my eyes, blinding me, And I fall to the ground.
I lie there, bloodied.
I then hear something in the distance.
I am not quite sure as to which way it is coming from.
The wind is too deceiving.
I reach out, only to find more wind.
It is everywhere.
I feel like it is swallowing me up.
I cannot see, yet I scramble up and start running again.
I run and run, And keep hitting the low shrubs that surround me.
I trip a few times, as well,
& I Scrape more of the flesh off my bones...
I then hear the noise again.
If my hearing is correct, someone is calling my name.
I run frantically, in search of that voice.
I Then slam into something hard.
Hands wrap around my arms to keep me from falling,
Yet I still fall.
I fall to my bloody knees, And cry out at the pain coming from them.
I then feel arms wrap around me,
& I wrap my arms around them.
I bury my head in the person's chest,
& sob until no more tears come.
I am able to open my eyes a bit, But the stinging is unbearable.
I shut them tight, then feel soft fingertips trying to wipe at them.
I realize that they are trying to wipe away the ash.
I feel the arms disappear, & Two hands come to either side of my face.
Without the embrace, I fall to the ground completely.
The hands have disappeared as well & so I just lie there.
I am not sure If I have passed out, But the next thing I know, I'm being carried away.
I snuggle in closer.
I, myself, wipe away the ash still blinding me.
I open them a bit, to find the stinging gone.
I then open them all the way, & I look up to the face of my rescuer...
And he is the most beautiful creature I have ever seen.
I analyze his face,
Then glance to the beautiful white wings behind him.
He's realized I have awakened, because he gazes down on me with the most gorgeous smile on his face.
& Then, in a flash of light,
I wake up.
The dream lingers in my head for the next week.
Then, while shopping at the mall with some friends, I see him!
I see the man from my dreams.
He beckons me to him,
& I go without even thinking.
Why must I think,
For he is my world now...
He is what keeps me from falling down!
