samantha woke up to see sunlight streaming through the window. she rolled over and hid under her covers to try to block out the offensive light. "samantha" her mothers voice came up from downstairs. "get up hun your going to be late." samantha groaned. she didnt feel well. she never did lately. sunlight hurt her eyes and her head was constantly aching. she heard her mother coming up the stairs and knew she couldnt get up today. she stayed hidden under her covers and closed her eyes. she fell asleep again. when she woke again it was dark outside. much better, thought samantha. she got up, opened her window and climbed out. carl was waiting for her smirking in the dim light. "hey sweetie" said samantha.

"hey babe" carl replied. "you dont look so good"

"i dont feel it either" samantha replied the pounding in her head was getting worse.

"come here" samantha walked up and put her arms round his waist. he pulled her hair back and nibbled her neck softly. samantha pulled away. "not tonight huni."

"close to what?" suddenly carl looked sinister somehow. she noticed how his canines were longer than normal. she hd always thought it was kind of hot but now it seemed dangerous."have you been feeling weird lately? like sunlight hurts, and you just want to sleep all day? do you feel thirsty regardless of what you had to drink that day?" samantha started to back away. she knew those symptoms, thousands of horror books and films had made sure of that. "oh my god." suddenly it all made sense. why she always felt drained when round carl, why her neck was always bruised even though he didnt bite that hard, why he couldnt go one day without seeing her and biting her, why her dreams had suddenly become full of pain and blood, why when she cut her finger she licked the blood without thinking, something she had never done before. she smiled. "i was hoping one day that someone would turn me. i just never thought it would be you."

"its always the person you least expect" he replied his fangs glistening in the light from the moon. she stepped forward and offered her neck. "turn me completely" he leaned down and sunk his teeth into her neck drinking her blood slowly. she wrapped her arms round his neck and kept him close to her not leting him pull away. finally she started to feel faint and he let go. she fell against him. he moved his wrist to his mouth and bit down hard, blood sprang from the open wound and he placed it over her mouth. she drank deeply from him and didnt let go until he grabbed her hair and yanked her away. "you now belong to me my love." he said softly. she opened her eyes slowly and looked into his. "and i wouldnt have it any other way." she replied.
