Layouts and Skins
The Public Skins
The Skin Manager lists Public Skins at the bottom. These are skins hosted by Vampire Rave that all Premium Members are free to use. New public skins will be periodically added.
If you want to use a public skin, Create a New Skin and just copy-and-paste the values from the Public Skin section.
If you have a skin you would like to have added to the public skin set, there are a few guidelines:
Send Cancer a message with the skin name, layout the skin is for, and the url paths for the CSS file and graphics. Cancer will review the skin. Cancer will only approve skins, that in his opinion, conform to certain html guidelines. The guidelines include, but are not limited to, text that is clearly readable on all pages, graphics that are not objectionable, and backgrounds that do not compete with the reading of text.
If your skin is not approved it doesn't mean you and others can't use it. It just means it will not be a public skin of Vampire Rave.
If your skin is accepted as a public skin, Vampire Rave will take over the hosting of the skin. You will no longer have the ability to edit the skin, so you should be sure it's in a completed state. Cancer will not keep updating graphic or CSS files for you every time you decide to alter/update your skin. So, you should create your skin and use it for several weeks before submitting it for public skin consideration. Make sure the skin is exactly how you want it to be.
