The purpose of this mentorship is for my fellow geeks and bibliophiles to share their love of reading, gaming and other mediums.
So why is it called Vashta Nerada?
The Vashta Nerada are a race of microscopic carnivorous beings which appear in the Doctor Who episode 'Silence in the Library'. When in a Swarm, these beings appeared as shadows and could strip the flesh from a creature in seconds - right down to the bone. They could also somewhat solidify their swarm to imitate human motion - resulting in a zombie-like figure with the power to infect living beings with the same fate.
My original thought for the mentorship was a book club, a place for lovers of reading to talk about their favourite tomes and find new ones from the other members. I then decided that this should extend to other mediums, particularly games of various types.
I myself play a lot of board/card games as well as tabletop RPGs, and I always enjoy discussing them with other enthusiasts.
