The moon is so full tonight.
I lay in bed and think of her silver moonlight.
Guiding my lost heart along her gentle glow.
I wait each day as she waxes and she wanes.
So much light and yet always surrounded by the dark.
My dark yearnings seek evermore, redemption in her soul.
I abide my lonely spirit knowing she'll never go.
I look up at her and find comfort.
Knowing that somewhere in the world around,
that the one I seek and wait for is gazing at that same moon.
She guides her loving daughter and all the souls in the night.
Her pale face will never shun me.
The stars and night surround her, cradling her in their arms.
The twinkle of the world is filled with all the hopes and dreams of humanity.
Yet the moon is so full tonight, surely she knows my wayward heart.
Will always find some solace in her silver blessing light.
