My name is Toad or Toby. I like all things gothic and vampiric. I enjoy rainy movies and most music; mainly post-punk, shoegaze, and gothic rock. I love chatting and meeting new people so please don't be shy! I'm always looking for vampire-related media recommendations.
A bit about me
I've always been fascinated with vampires since I was a small child; I remember I created original vampire characters to use in little comics or short stories (and, if I'm being honest, I still do that). I also had a morbid curiosity for cannibalism and other such topics. Within the past year, however, it has become less of a vague fascination and more of an actual interest, or obsession; I've consumed a lot of movies, shows, and books related to vampires and apparently it's been very noticeable as my friend got me a vampire classics anthology for my birthday.
I've always hated the sun and sunny days, they almost always give me a painful headache. Currently, I dress almost exclusively in a gothic manner, which is something I've dabbled in previously but never to this extent -- and to top it all off, the idea of drinking blood, or letting someone drink mine, has become very appealing very rapidly. I'm not going to assume anything off the bat but the fact that I'm here probably means something. Mostly I'm here to respectfully learn, get more info, and chat about stuff that I enjoy -- I try my best to be open minded and friendly, and I love meeting new people, so please don't be shy! :)
my interests
I am an artist and writer ( I don't do these things very well, but my enjoyment is what matters, right? XP -- I'll probably post some art on here), and some things that always inspire me are rain, fungi, loneliness, fog, alternative fashion, music, deep human connections, the stars, spirituality, blood (I know, I know), and frogs. I enjoy riding public transit and peoplewatching and going for hikes (when it's misty or rainy).
