Victoria Francés has such a way of how she creates her artwork. But she is not just an artist she is also an amazing author. Her first publication was, Favole which was published in 2003. She has written several other books since then. I first came across some of her images back in the early 2000's and was mesmerized by them. Victoria is only 30 years old, which is hard to believe with as much as she has accomplished in such a short time.

She was born in Valencia, Spain on October 25 1982. She attended Polytechnic University of Valencia, and studed fine art. She is influenced by pre-Raphaelite and gothic Romanticism. Another very well known artist who is also a favorite of mine Luis Royo, also influenced her quite a bit as well. It was her dream to be able to meet Luis Royo and she achieved that dream in her first public appearance at the International Comic Fair in Barcelona. That had to have been so exciting for her. She made her first US appearance at the 2005 Comic-Con International in San Diego.

I was able to purchase one of her painting, Bathory a few years ago and plan to add a few more to my collection. Black Cat and Diabolus are two of my favorites peices that she has done.
