As some of you may or may not know I'm an artist. Not the best- not the worst but I'm always learning. At the moment I do pieces for free or create things when it comes to me in mind. I've never sold anything because I'm greedy. Though I've lost many works in my time; to thieves in former schools and by tossing them out.
I've painted my coven crest and drawn my mentorship banner. Though the banner took a bit of regular computer paint to finish. That's right, I drew the rose on it with nothing but a mouse.
Mentorship banner:
Coven Crest:
*The first coven crest: Now changed:
The crest was made with simple water colors. Light but sweet. The blue skeleton contrasted by orange and the red person contrasted by green. I love the idea of working with contrast when I paint. It makes things "pop". No pencil or pen was used for the painting. It was done free hand. It wasn't very big.
Most of what I create comes from the ideas of others. Not stealing but rather asking what others want. Sometimes I'll set up a status on Face Book or other sites asking for ideas.
Here are the most recent:
Picture Number one: Llama
The first Llama I've ever drawn. Made with a ball point pen using blue ink. Took about 10 minutes to complete. Was drawn by request of an acquaintance on here though I can't remember.
Picture number two: Crying
I made this as a painting doodle of sorts when I started painting again this year. It had been a few months but I wanted to use washes to see prove how rusty I was. :P I enjoy water colors because they're easy to use and can wash easy on paper. Unlike other paints water colors use less toxins, cost less and are all around great for simple beautiful works.
Though I have also worked with acrylic, I prefer nail polish over it or house paint.
Picture number 3: Frankie
This last piece on display was made when a member on here had a status about wanting to draw something but wanting someone else to draw it. I commented in with something along the lines of what would you like? And she replied with something beautiful. So what could be more wonderful and awesome then her beautiful face? :D
If you're wondering, yes, this was kind of rushed, but still all around nice. :3 I probably needed to work on the side of her face more but the parts to the left side of the painting look pretty well done.
I have more works to come. This has been volume one of Rose's Art work display. Hope you enjoyed it. :)
Interesting painting on the human anatomy- face and the crying eye. Both of which are very hard to do with perspective so Kudos! I''ll take the Teardrop Eye for $25 commission please! LOL
