In your opinion, does your astrological birth sign have an influence on your form of Vampirism?

So your question is for those under the impression that astro signs have an influence over their vampirism, huh?

Understandable, but wouldn't it be more about moon signs rather then sun signs? I mean after all, most of the kids who claim to be vampi/yres are more often then not consumed with the "dark" side aren't they?

Does a birth sign have any effect on vampirism? in my opinion, no... it does not. The signs are for behavor patterns only and do not effect the physiology of the human body. Most would claim to be vampi/yres because of some physical health issues and not for any psychological reasons. Those would make them sound mentally awkward, now wouldn't they... just saying.

I would say its more the knowledge of the characteristic of of th esign that affect, if we do not know then its like we are different.

i honestly think it depends on both moon and sun signs like for me i am a virgo in both sun and moon signs and i am a vamp for me i think it doesn't matter what sign you are i think it more depends on your physiology and not just how healthy you are like for me i prefer my night side due to the fact i was technally born right before dawn and my mother went into labor in the middle of the night so i think that part of my vampyre side more has to do with being mostly nocturnal and not astrology per say even though right now the sun is shineing in my part of the world i am pretty much in the dark till the sun goes down and the moon comes up but i think astrology could have something to do with it as well although i am not sure

Let me ask it this way. Your vampiric personality, and behaviours. Would you say your signs have some influence on that? As a Vampire do you exhibit qualities of a Leo/ Scorpio/ Gemini? And remember that astrological meanings are at best advisory, and that's what I tell my astrology chart clients.

According to Hindu teachings each of us are born into a vocation, though in more modern aspects that appeared in Hinduism as a caste system based upon birth and family, yet originally it was based upon the soul and its reaction.

This same influence is based upon the very aspect in which we are born into as well, or awakened. I do not believe it has anything to do with signs, but depending on the calendar in which you use, would depend on the very manner in which we base things off of, Hindu base the calendar off the Sidereal, while Europe and America, as far as I know at the least, use the Tropical calendar instead.

Though I will not deny that your birth sign does play a part in how we perceive and react, it does not impact how we are awakened and into what 'caste' as it were we become connected to.

As a guide, the stars can be useful to mortal and vampire alike.

As to whether it is the moon, sun or other body that is the primary indicator, this would probably require a bit of study and research.

I have always assumed that the moon's position was a more dynamic indicator, but I am not certain of that.

Well as someone who does chart, actually it's the opinion of some especially Joanne Martine, who wrote an excellent book, states your ascendancy sign has the most influence in many cases. Many but not all. The Moon sign is supposedly the calmer of the effects on a person in astrological terms

I don't trust those news paper horoscopes. The people writing them are professional columnists who in my opinion make up much of their stuff. I actually have a program where I can do a daily chart, and get the info I want, and get an interpretation.

Well those in the papers do everything from 12 noon so it would be rather generic but the sun sign alone in Western Astrology isn't the only indicator of anything. You have to look at the chart as a whole. But if one, in my opinion were to pick out anything it might be the ascendant for a general look at the person because it is their appearance and personality that the public sees. How they present themselves to the world so it might be influenced somewhat if they were a vampiric. I think you would have to look at the overall chart but I don't think anyone could hazard a guess that it would be much different than anyone else. There might be a YOD present in the chart.

You make some good points. When I do a daily chart I focus on all the aspects, especially where my birth sign, moon sign both rising north and setting south, the formation of the planets, the 4 hemispheres, as well. Then, I make an assessment.

Brahmin could determine aspects of a child by the stars, which based off of Vedic Astrology, which is a very old and very accurate science, many details could be found.

In this the determination of a childes future wife and the possibilities of their future were given insight into, this was all based upon the alignment of their current location, the current degree of tilt the world was sitting upon at the time, and many other factors.

I am sure if this study was given thought into, well enough researched, we could figure out aspects of birth and even more so, the awakening of others like us.

That could make sense although the charts and graphs would beb humungous, and the reports about a dictionaries width.

They are, and extremely in depth as well.

Not sure that my being a Gemini would have anything to do with vampiric behaviors...hmmm..does that mean I like to flirtatiously flutter from one donor to the next like a butterfly getting wickedly drunk off of too much pollen? Or perhaps I might be a more versatile vampire...adapting to changes more readily than others?

Whether or not I categorize myself under any label..I've found the generic charts, while true for most Geminis...does not often apply to my true nature...the seat of my own soul is my own and not reliant upon such narratives.

Aside from that...the sun signs as I understand it have been "off" kilter with the procession of the planets for some time now...seems there was quite the "scare" about that just a few months ago on the net regarding a frantic public concerned with knowing what their "true" sign really was and if it wasn't what they thought..then "who" were they? It was led on about as though we should all have a bout of permanent amnesia, a seemingly and senseless loss of "self" due to having a wrong alignment.

If astrological placements and the procession has anything to do with human behavior as well as vampiric behavior..then perhaps we should all take cover when the werewolves come out on the full moon...o.O that's usually when the chaos erupts anyways...just ask your local cop..;)

Life...Death...and everything in-between is what you make of it...yourself...and while there are some variables in charting that may apply, they are simply tools as anything else..information that can be utilized...or not...in the end, does it really matter? If one believes in the reincarnation of the soul, would it also not be plausible to think that the soul itself is processional as a reflection of the heavens and the universe?

Yes, there was a scare but it wasn't the type of astrology that most use in the West. It was something else. I think you would have to do a study unfortunately to really know if there were any correlations and that is very expensive and time consuming.

Luckily we have all kinds of good software to do some type of modified study

I'm not too sure how astrological signs would affect vampyrism. I can understand how that could be a valid argument, though. But then what signs would represent or influence what types of vampyrism? Someone would have to do a long study and survey as many vampires as possible to come up with any valid evidence.

I mean, I'm a Taurus and a sanguine vamp. I have to admit, it would be cool to find out how or if the two are linked.

Remember your birth sign is not the only aspect that has effect on you. It also depends on your ascendant sign, moon sign, the house of the sign and trimestre

Astrology is an age old science that evolves as everything else

I can ask Merticus or look in our Library and see if he has any topics on this. He is from the AVA (Atlanta Vampire Alliance) and also the VVC (Voices of the Vampire Community) which I am a member. I don't know if he has done anything from the astrological perspective. I do know from his experience that a really good survey/study is very time consuming and expensive and generally most who respond are under 30. Nothing wrong with that but it doesn't make it overall respective of everyone really. Since it is voluntary that's what generally happens. He has done a great job but the results now can only be seen in a Library he opened online and certain parts are restricted to membership only. I will either ask or look into the other part and see if there is anything. I don't remember it because I took the survey but it was a few years ago. Some depends on how you view astrology. If it is very positive then it would affect everything in one's life, how...that's the question. There possibly could be articles in there on the topic. I really don't know how a natal chart would give an inkling of vampirism. My best guess is what I stated prior, possibly a YOD in the chart.
