I Happen to be a Firefox user and if anyone would like help on making certain things work instead of changing back to IE let me know and I will do my best to assist you. I have used quite a bit of CSS on my page and always use Firefox.

Acolytes answer code questions? Funny I always understood they was here to help with site questions, not help with profiles codes. If that was part of the job I am sure it would be taken into account on the test they must pass to be one. Don't think it is... but most do offer help as several have helped me. Even the lady who made this Help Page.
:)
Great job as always LadyC.
_Well...I think LadyC knows how much I appreciate her hard work with the page, but I also wanted to post something that I thought would help everyone. See...I'm a basic member, and when the stuff changed, I had to scramble to find a new way to make my profile, {{I have yet to fix my portfolio, but I'm workin' on it}}. If you can't find something you see on the VR Profile Help Page, THIS is a really good place to visit as well. it gives good insight and even has things you can try for yourself to get the hang of it. Just thought I'd point that out!_
I am curious to know why it is no longer allowed to use a highlight code with out text to make it stand out against out background better?
Doesn't this just restrict the backgrounds we are able to use and still have others able to read the words we put there?
This is one of the small issues that appears all thanks to Bill Gate.
Microsoft Internet Explorer is the recommended standard for web browsing. Yet, many folks choose to go with FireFox, Mozilla, Opera, Netscape (RIP), and the such.
When Microsoft created Internet Explorer; they set the bar for all programming and development. They then turned around the competition and said 'you can't do it the way I do it ... that's stealing.'
It's kind of like somebody owning a patent on the way you paint a wall. If you dip your brush into a paint can and then apply it to a wall ... you have stolen somebody elses design. You must find a new way to paint a wall.
As such ... the way that pages are coded are interpreted differently by the different browsers (thank you Bill). This is why some things work and some things don't between them.
There is a chance that if this person was using FF2 and had a problem, that a code was being used that FF2 did not know how to interpret. And FF3 is either in Beta, or was just released as final - but a lot of sites are still incompatible with FF3's coding.
The best answer is ... use Internet Explorer. In my honest opinion ... I don't see what all the hoopla is about Opera and FF - I've used them all, and always come back to MSIE.
The same thing happened to me, Charity. I lost about 110 forum posts when I changed this name.
And for Cheetahcry's question, if a picture is bigger than the scrollbox I believe it will just stretch it. But you can adjust the size of the scrollbox too.
LadyChordewa,
I had the scroll box in my profile and now it is not there. I think that I may have missed a step in there somewhere but am not certain. First I use the coding for the scrolling box like this
And then used the last part. I am not good with the CCS codes so am thinking that I missed something. Could someone please help.
Cheetahcry,
Having looked at the code you posted, I wonder if you have also included the closing tags?

Cheetahcry,
Make sure you include and at the end. The color code isn't really necessary, but will allow you to change the colors to match your page.

No, free members can't. The embed code which is used within them is only something premium members can use.
